3-Dimensional Leadership Assessment
What is 3-Dimensional Leadership
The most simple and direct definition of leadership is transforming ideas into successful results. To do this one must master what I call the Performance Trilogy®; i.e. the three dimensions of leadership; strategy, execution, and leadership development.
Strategic Leadership is about generating an idea, a vision or goal that will create a future different than the present, and then developing a compelling strategy around that vision.
Strategic leaders disrupt the status quo.
Performance Leadership involves managing the present by converting the strategy into focused execution, turning ideas into results and intentions into actions.
Performance leaders turn ideas into results.
Servant Leadership is learning from past actions, growing, developing and adjusting along the way. This includes personal development as well as professional development of your team.
Servant leaders help people responsible for producing results learn and grow.
Why is understanding 3-Dimensional leadership important?
Most leaders excel in one or occasionally two of these leadership dimensions. Knowing one’s strengths and weaknesses in each of these dimensions can play a major role in the career one chooses and the and the assignments one tackles or avoids, thus significantly increasing the odds of one’s career success. Knowing the leadership dimensional strengths and weaknesses of others can significantly aid in hiring and promoting staff to appropriate roles and responsibilities.
